More about Justin Curtis & Sally Jo
Johnny Cash and June Carter, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Sonny and Cher, Nick Lechey and
Jessica Simpson, Bonnie and Clyde. The list of famous couples goes on and on. Ready to be
added to the list are Justin Curtis and Sally Jo. Together they
travel the highways performing their brand of outlaw country music. Train songs, truck drivin’
songs, prison songs, songs about love, cowboy songs and rockabilly, too.
It all began in a smoky tavern in Seattle, Washington. Sally Jo and her fiancé stopped in for
a couple glasses of cold beer and some hard-core honky-tonk tunes. Justin Curtis was the one
on stage that night and that fateful meeting changed their lives forever. Sally Jo dumped her
boyfriend and told Justin to fire his bass player (insisting that she could do a better job).
Justin was persuaded by her charms and the two of them drove off together.
Now with a “deep molasses voice” and “boundless talent as a songwriter”, Justin captures his
audience with tales of truth, heartache and emotion. Sally Jo fully commands the upright bass
as she pounds out the rhythm and belts out the songs. It’s impossible to ignore their stage
presence and easy to fall in love with their story-telling.
They have been seen and heard everywhere, television, radio, street corners and festivals in
front of as many as 30,000 people. Over 1800 shows in 144 different cities!
Available as a duo or with a four-piece band Justin Curtis and Sally~Jo can customize their
show to fit any room and every budget.
